Delivery Information
Deliveries to UK mainland addresses are normally dispatched within 24 hours and will take 3-5 working days for delivery, from receipt of your payment. Whilst we will endeavour to deliver goods within these timescales, you agree and accept that delays can occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances and HJ shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within the estimated timescales. In the event of delays, we will inform you as soon as possible and make alternative arrangements for delivery. If your item is out of stock or likely to take longer than this for any other reason, we shall advise by email how long delivery will take. Please note that even where items are out of stock your item will not take any longer than 35 days to arrive.
Delivery to anywhere other than UK mainland addresses can vary greatly and so you are advised to contact us before your purchase is made to avoid any disappointment.
Products are delivered FREE of charge through Royal Mail Special Delivery. A signature is required on delivery. Please ensure that you check your items personally at the time of delivery and that you contact HJ immediately if you are dissatisfied in any way.
HJ reserve the right to nominate a different agent for delivery if we believe that they are either more secure or quicker than the Royal Mail alternative for example due to postal strikes. If the agent is changed at the request of the customer or to meet a customer’s particular need, the customer shall be responsible for any additional charges.
You must provide a ‘Delivery Address’ when placing the order. Goods will be deemed to be delivered when our delivering agent delivers them to the Delivery Address. You must ensure that there is someone suitable to sign for the goods at the Delivery Address and that they check all items at the point of delivery.
In the event that our delivering agent attempts without success to deliver the goods at your Delivery Address, the agent will leave a ‘Delivery Notice’ indicating where the goods can be collected by you. In this case, the goods will be deemed delivered when they are collected by you from the address indicated in the ‘Delivery Notice’. You are required to collect the goods within 5 working days from receiving the ‘Delivery Notice’. If you fail to collect the goods within five working days, the goods will be deemed to have been delivered successfully and returns can only be made as detailed in our ‘Returns And Refunds’ policy.
You are advised to provide to us in your Order Confirmation, a delivery address not accessible by third parties. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to you or the goods as a result of us delivering the goods to your nominated ‘Delivery Address’.
If you have a special occasion happening very soon and are worried about receiving your item in time, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are able to confirm stock availability and delivery times before you commit to a purchase.
Methods Of Payment
You can make a secure payment using our Secure Server and Shopping Cart with the following methods: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners Club, Bank Balance, and PayPal.
Please be advised that Harding’s Jewellery reserve the right to alter the pricing on our site at any time due to fluctuations in the gold bullion market. Before completing your purchase, you are advised to check our site frequently for our most up-to-date pricing information. Please be assured, however, once your purchase has been made the price will be fixed.
You can also pay HJ by cheque. Please note, any cheques received by post will require 7-10 days clearance which will create a delay in processing your order and ultimately delay the delivery of your goods.
Please note that all screen prices are exclusive of VAT as it is added within the shopping cart and so you will need to include VAT on any cheque payments.
HJ reserve the right in our sole discretion to cancel your order in which case we shall provide you with a full refund within 14 days of such cancellation. It is agreed that in any event we shall have no liability to you for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims that you may incur as a result of any cancellation by HJ. It is further agreed that you will indemnify HJ in full against all costs and outgoings incurred by us in obtaining payments from you in the event that a failed payment occurs.
Security
All of the credit card information sent to Harding’s Jewellery travels through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) ‘pipeline’ encrypted at 128 bits. This is the highest level of encryption commercially available.
Returns And Refunds
Due to the nature of the goods we have for sale, returns and refunds are only available strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. As a result, we ask that you thoroughly check and ensure that you are fully satisfied with the specification, design, materials, size and price of your item(s) at the time of purchase.
We want you to be 100% delighted with your purchase and so please make sure you ensure you are fully satisfied when making your order. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information before making your purchase.
If your item is damaged or faulty in any way when you receive it and, therefore, you wish to return or exchange your item, you must contact us immediately as we cannot guarantee the refund or exchange of your item if you do not do so. Refunds will only be given where the goods are found to be damaged or faulty at the time of delivery AND only if the damage or fault can not be repaired or a replacement to the same specification and value can not be offered. You should, therefore, check the goods at the time of delivery and contact us immediately if the goods are found to be damaged or faulty. Once delivery has taken place or deemed to have taken place we will not accept any responsibility for damaged or faulty goods.
Until goods have been fully paid for, all goods will remain the property of HJ. In the unlikely event that you receive either incorrect goods, additional goods or any items that you have not paid for, you agree to immediately return or pay for such goods upon our request. We will accept the delivery charges connected with any such request for returns. However, in the event of delay by you in returning the goods, we reserve the right to charge you interest on the balance of any unpaid sums from the day you received the goods.
You must not return the goods until we have agreed that you should do so as otherwise you will be liable for any loss, damage or additional costs incurred. Please also ensure that all goods are returned to us in the original, unused condition and that they are accompanied by the original box.
Due to Health & Safety and Hygiene Laws any earrings which are covered by our refund or exchange policy have to be returned to us in the original (sealed) packaging, unless they are faulty in any way.
We will ensure that all monies owed to you are paid within 30 working days from receipt of the item(s) by HJ and that we will contact you separately to agree a new timescale where an exchange or replacement is required.
So that we can handle your return efficiently we kindly ask that you:
• Contact us first so that we know to expect your return;
• We recommend for your benefit that you mail your item to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure secure transit. This will ensure there is proof of return to us and insurance on the goods whilst in transit. (Please note – we cannot except responsibility for any items lost or damaged in transit. Please be assured, however, that we will refund any delivery costs to you if the product is being returned to us because of a fault).
Although we do endeavour to make sure that all of our sizes and measurements are accurate, please note that all jewellery sizes and measurements are approximate and it is your responsibility to ensure that you order the correct size. (To aid you in this decision you may wish to refer to our ring-sizing guide). Refunds will not be accepted purely because an incorrect size has been ordered. Where possible, we will, however, try to adjust the size subject to you paying any additional costs (including any subsequent delivery costs).
